3D printing material guide –
Help me choose the best material for my project

3D printing combines dozens of technologies and thousands of materials. It is often confusing to choose the right 3D printing material for your rapid prototyping or short-run manufacturing project.

To make life a little easier for you, we have created a 3D printing material guide, to help you choose the best material for your project. To keep it simple, we have chosen the most popular materials.

If you need additional help making the right choice, contact our support staff, who is happy to assist you making the right choice.

Choose your part requirements to identify the best fit for your project.

Our 3D printing material guide is a filter for 3D printing materials and technologies. Depending on your chosen part requirements, selected 3D printing technologies and materials will appear or disappear. You can click on each technology and material, to learn more about it.

Please note: for some combinations you will not see any result. This is because the technologies per se cannopt meet your expectations. However, this does not necessarily mean, that there is no solution for you. Often times, additional charcteristics can be achieved by post process finishing (e.g. accuracy or surface quality). Furthermore, some of our special materials are not included in the guide, since their applications is often specific, to be included in such an overview. If this is the case for you, contact our technical support staff, who is happy to discuss how your requirements can be realized.

Suggestions? We are happy to receive your feedback on how to improve the material guide, please reach out to us and let us know, what you are missing or what we can do better.
